She graduated from Midlothian High School in 2007, then went on to attend Texas A&M University the following year where she majored in Biomedical Science and completed a Spanish understudy program. In the fall of 2005, she met her future husband Ryan Reck while playing volleyball. They spent many wonderful years together in College Station before the couple married in January 2010, right before beginning her fourth and final year at Texas A&M’s College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating with her doctorate in 2011, the couple returned to Ryan’s hometown of El Campo, where he continued work on his family farm and Tess went into mixed animal practice. She enjoyed a number of years working relief in the surrounding areas, helping local veterinarians, and learning all she could from mentors that had been in practice for decades. In 2016 Tess and Ryan’s prayers were finally answered when they adopted their son Cameron, and two years later daughters Makayla and Paige followed. In 2019 Dr. Crider became a partner at El Campo Animal Hospital where she happily continues to work with her community today. Outside the clinic Tess enjoys coaching volleyball, yoga, and a good bottle of wine.
